So this has been highly requested, and I’m super excited to share with you all of my ‘October Favourites’. Leave a comment down below what your favourite item this October has been, because sharing is caring! and I’ll see you in the next blog post. Beth x
1. Victoria Secret Sport High Rise Knockout Pocket Tight
So these tights are literally my obsession right now! Over the past month I ended up buying them in 4 different colours: Grape Soda, Inkblot, Black Pearl and Forest Night. They remind me so much of the Lululemon all the right places pants which are super cute, but retailing at £120 way out of my price budget for gym leggings. They have the same pockets on the side (which are insanely handy!) and a beautiful stitching that accentuates your butt pretty nicely.
2. IDoo Marble Macbook Pro 13 inch Case
This case is amazing, and I ordered it from amazon with amazon prime and got it delivered the very next day. I previously had a mint green case that I’d bought cheap from eBay but it was super smudgy and was also pretty sharp around the edges (seemed like it hadn’t been finished off properly). But this one is a beautiful material, sturdy and easy to fit without having any sharp edges that hurt my wrist whilst typing. Plus it looks pretty damn cool too!
3. Lavender Sleep Mist:
Now this is an absolute game changer. As you all know my anxiety and tummy can keep me awake at night and sometimes make it very hard to get to sleep. Lavender is the scent that really helps to calm me, and long time subscribers will know that I carry around a little bottle of lavender oil most places with me. So when I saw this I thought I would give it a try. You just spray some around your bed and onto your pillow etc. The only downside is that it isn’t as concentrated as the lavender oil I normally use, as it is mixed with water. Therefore the smell doesn’t last / linger as long as the oil does – however it is still a lovely touch thats less overpowering and obvious.
4. Revlon coconut uniq all in one hair treatment:
As you know, I’m no expert when it comes to haircare / beauty products but I know a good product when I find one. I particularly look for an easy to use product, that is going to cover a wide range of uses so I don’t have to invest / carry around a million different products in my suitcase (ain’t nobody got time for that!!). This was recommended to me by my hairdresser, and it smells absolutely incredible. Basically it is a spray in conditioner that doubles up as a de-tangler, heat defence spray, split end preventer, hair colour protector, shine and frizz control and much, much more. It’s definitely one of my must have products and I know have one in my gym bag for post swims and one at home ready for when I jump out of the shower!
5. Pip and Nut coconut almond sachets
You all know how much I love nut butter, but when it comes to portion control with it I definitely lack. If it was up to me I would sit with a spoon and eat it from the tub, which is NOT good. Pip and Nut is one of my absolute favourites, so when I spotted these handy single serving pouches I had to give them a try! They are perfect for on the go, and I can just throw one in my bag whenever i’m in a rush. The only downside is the portion is 30g, which of course you eat the whole sachet – but its a little more than I would like to portion. But hey, its better than a full jar right?!
6. Topshop New era Baseball hat
I have a little bit of an obsession with hats, you all know this by now. It started off with bobble hats and then has extended into baseball hats. Don’t ask me what it is; other than comfort and maybe the additional benefit of covering up ready to be washed hair, but I really do love them! This one was just a dream fit, its specifically made for women so it seemed to fit so much nicer on my head than many other ones i’ve tried. It has a pretty sturdy top too which I find is necessary for me (I think I have a weird shaped head) so more flexible ones just look funny and uneven! The colour was also a big seller for me, you all know how obsessed I am with autumn winter colours of maroon / khaki. At one £13, with student discount making it £11.70 it was an absolute steal!
7. NARS velvet matte skin tint
Now this was recommended to me by my good friend, and make up guru Hannah Atter. I wanted something super light weight, easy to put on and pretty much fool proof (because you all know i’m no make up expert)! I have the colour light 3: Groenland which is perfect for when I have fake tan on and has a lovely warm feel to it. I like to apply it with a sponge for a lighter feel, or a brush for a little more coverage. It stays put well, and withstands sweating and daily wear without needing constant top ups – so a massive recommendation!
