I’ve teamed up with Tilda to collaborate with them on the launch of their new super grain pouches and share with you my favourite way to team the pouches. Following on from my importance of carbohydrates post, I’ve worked with Tilda to created a meal perfect for you guys to have post workout. I’ve made sure it is packed full of micronutrients, with a balance of carbohydrates, protein and fat for optimal recovery and adaptations to your workouts.View Post
One of the biggest things I want to start with is that Carbohydrates are not the enemy. We’ve all seen the fad diets which claim to ‘torch fat’ and give you the abs of your dreams all by completely cutting out carbs. They’re bullsh*t, and demonise carbs unnecessarily. Carbohydrates are actually a key macronutrient, and one that plays many important roles within the body. Carbohydrates not only aid with digestion but help with absorption of nutrients and water, cognitive functioning and also provide us with energy and muscular fuel. In this article, I discuss all of the benefits of carbohydrates and how to use them to optimise your workouts.View Post
Something that I’ve really had to perfect these past few years is the art (yes it may as well be an art) of balancing life and fitness. I’m a full time student, who also balances a business, life and also fitness. It’s a tough line up to manage, and it’s most definitely not a breeze. But, it is possible. In this post I talk all about how I balance everything from work, fitness, nutrition and everything in between.View Post
It’s time to lace up your walking boots! I’m sure you’ve all seen recently that since Christmas I’ve spent a lot of my time high up in the clouds, covered in mud and strapped up in my walking boots. To be honest, I’ve never minded the rain, I believe that mud never hurt nobody and I’m a complete sucker for an incredible view. Now, I’m not saying that everyone reading this will feel the same. I have plenty of friends who absolutely hate the outdoors and can’t bare to get their toes dirty. Which is also okay. But to the small percentage of you who might enjoy it, this post is for you.View Post
When it comes to the new year, the 1st of January always rolls around and the influx of ‘new year, new me’ resolutions flood social media. If I’m honest, I don’t really know how I feel about resolutions. All I really know is, that the start of the new year is 365 new chances to be awesome.
Personally, I like to think as new years resolutions more of ‘goals’. Instead of setting myself resolutions to ‘stick to’ I instead think of things I would like to achieve, improve or do throughout 2018. From there, I formulate something I like to call a ‘2018 plan’. That way, I’m not just saying I want to do something, I’m planning out exactly how I will do and how I will measure that it is done. Give it a try!View Post
